Life has many stressors. From childhood, we start learning ways of coping with stress. These mechanisms become entrenched behaviours. Some of these mechanisms can be negative or destructive coping mechanisms such as self-harm or substance abuse. The aim of our treatment is to replace these negative coping mechanisms with healthy behavior techniques such as deep breathing techniques, exercise and mindfulness
