Bipolar Disorder
Every story deserves understanding and care. When you reach out to Mind Kind, we believe in providing professional guidance to nurture your emotional well-being. Let’s walk this path together.
All people have ups and downs in their mood. Sometimes these ups or downs are severe and sustained, causing a range of associated behaviour changes. These moods are different from your normal baseline and the change is noted by those around you.
People May Experience:
- Mood swings, sadness, elevated mood, anger, anxiety, aggression
- Unwanted thoughts, lack of concentration, racing thoughts, delusion
- Depression, manic episodes, paranoia
- Unexplained weight gain or weight loss
- Fatigue or restlessness
- Difficulty falling asleep or excess sleepiness
Our Approach
With bipolar mood disorder, medication called ‘mood stabilizers’, are always necessary. The aim of this medication is to stabilize your moods so that you do not have swings that are too high or too low. In addition to medication, it is vital that you re-establish good sleeping and eating patterns, limit substance use, reduce stress, learn relaxation techniques and identify your own triggers.
