Insomnia
Every story deserves understanding and care. When you reach out to Mind Kind, we believe in providing professional guidance to nurture your emotional well-being. Let’s walk this path together.
A good night’s sleep can change the way we feel and take on our day. With the increased demands in this modern day, sleep can often be affected by stress. You may have difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep or waking up in the early morning. Even when awake, you may feel unrefreshed, sleepy and unproductive throughout the day.
People May Experience:
- Sleeping difficulty or daytime sleepiness
- Slowness in activity and lack of concentration
- Depression, headaches and irritability
Our Approach
My approach to insomnia starts by screening for mental illnesses (depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and trauma), substances and medical illnesses that can affect sleep. Any disorders diagnosed, will be treated accordingly. If the issue is purely insomnia, I may use short-term sleeping tablets in combination with cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT-i). As a qualified CBT-i therapist, I will teach you how to sleep naturally and reduce your anxiety around sleep.
